After doing the research I had done these past few weeks on the religious groups covered in the P.R.I.N.T. Project, I finally got the opportunity to present in front of the rest of the P.R.I.N.T. team. This was one of the first instances I have had to present in front of a group like this. It was an interesting experience because it was not just a presentation, it also involved answering questions from people who had very specific questions and knew some of the general content, just not how it all fits together. So, many of their questions were difficult to answer. I also got to be part of a greater discussion, which I enjoyed being part of, I just wish I had more time to do the research, so I knew more of the answers.
Overall, I am satisfied with the work I have done and I’m excited to continue it because while I am going back to renaming files, in my free time I will be joining up with another teammate to start creating an infographic that will hopefully be shown on the P.R.I.N.T. website. The idea is that it would simplify all of the information I have learned even further for the general public so that a causal reader can understand some of the context of the project. I’m excited to create this infographic because it will give me the chance to work on the more technical side of things, something I am not particularly used to, and it is something I definitely need to work on in this day and age.
The team member I am working with has much more experience with technical and design elements, so I think she will be an excellent teacher and work partner for this project. She and I have a lot of ideas that we’re hoping to incorporate into the infographic, including a level of user activity. In order to get this to work, I will need to start communication with the tech team as a whole including those responsible for the software side of things. So far, I have had no reason to work directly with the technical team or any tech team, so I think in the next upcoming weeks I will be learning more about the abilities of computers than I ever have. However, I am excited to start mixing things up.
